India: Nothing has started rolling out a fresh update to its Essential Space feature, aiming to make daily task management and voice recordings more streamlined for users. The highlight of this update is the Google Calendar integration, allowing to-do lists created within Essential Space to sync automatically with your calendar no more juggling between apps.
This small yet powerful change makes it easier for users to manage schedules, especially for those who heavily rely on their phone to stay organized. The best part? You don’t need to install any extra system updates. the feature arrives through a simple Google Play Store update and activates as soon as your device connects to Wi-Fi.
Recorder Tool Gets Smarter Too
Nothing has also given its built-in Recorder tool a big boost. After recording a conversation, the app generates an AI-generated summary. What’s new is that you can now manually edit these summaries to add missing points or fix any mistakes — a huge win for accuracy.
On top of that, you can now export these summaries in multiple formats, such as image, PDF, or Markdown, depending on how you want to save or share the conversation.
Exclusive to Phone 3 for Now
This upgrade is currently exclusive to the Nothing Phone 3, which comes preloaded with Nothing OS 3.5. Essential Space is a part of this ecosystem, designed to quietly assist users without getting in the way. With this update, it evolves from just being an AI tool to a true productivity companion.
However, the good news is that Nothing plans to bring these features to more devices soon, including mid-range phones like the Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro.
Phone 3: Nothing’s Flagship Push in India
The update comes right after the launch of the Nothing Phone 3 in India, which is being marketed as the company’s first true flagship. Priced from ₹79,999, the phone features a 6.67-inch OLED display with high brightness levels, the powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, and a 5,500mAh battery with fast charging support.
Photography enthusiasts will love the triple 50MP camera setup, including a periscope lens, which is a first for Nothing. The new Glyph Matrix lighting system, made up of nearly 500 micro-LEDs, adds a unique aesthetic appeal while also serving functional purposes.
Design-wise, the brand sticks to its transparent signature look, but now with more utility. A red recording light helps users know when video recording is active, and a physical button on the back controls Glyph settings. Behind the scenes, the device is powered by TrueLens Engine 4, Nothing’s next-gen image processing system built to improve photo and video quality.
